This design was made up of four 3 inch blocks using fabric scraps from my stash. I originally made mini log cabin blocks but then opted for the improv X’s.

Violet was my helper on this day. I was fussy cutting the X’s from Brown Kona Cotton pieced with Kona Cotton Plum stipes. I had to be careful not to cut her tail!!

I quilted this with straight lines on my domestic machine. I used a walking foot for better stitch control.

Once the quilting was done, I wrapped the mini quilt on to a canvas, securing the back with staples and leaving the corners for last.
