Hi! I’m Monica and I’m a quilter living in Northern Virginia. I’ve made several quilts in my younger years but my quilting interest really picked up in 2017. I started out making quilt tops only but within a year, purchased a longarm machine and started finishing my own quilts. I do free motion quilting as well as computerized edge to edge. My quilts are finished with a traditional binding and my wall hangings have a mitered facing.

I love the traditional quilt pattern but recently, I've been expanding my horizons by exploring improv and collage wall hangings and modern quilts, adding a contemporary twist to my repertoire.

In addition to quilts, I also enjoy crafting practical yet stylish items such as quilted postcards, Christmas stockings, bags and totes.

One of the things I cherish most about quilting is the sense of community it fosters. I thoroughly enjoy connecting with fellow quilters, sharing tips, techniques, and stories. Sometimes it feels hard to put yourself out there but the quilting community is always supportive.
