My friend commissioned a Lucky Penny quilt for her friend’s birthday. She was really excited when we planned this one out so I got enough material to make her one too!

With a template, I cut out Kaffe Fassett Collective Classics Peacock fabric into half hexagons and kept them sorted until it was time to lay out the quilt top.

This one has to be completely laid out and each row is sewn separately. The background fabric is Kona Cotton Orchid.

The Lucky Penny quilt pattern is from Missouri Star Quilt Company.

Here are the two matching Lucky Penny quilt tops with a border in Kona Cotton Morning Glory.

I quilted this on my longarm using an edge to edge pattern called Circle of Life from Urban Elementz.

This back is Kona Cotton Morning Glory and really shows off the quilting.
