I learned how to make this piece through a CraftyMonkies class called “Explore Your Intuition Further” taught by Victoria van der Laan. These stick forms are pieced and not appliqued.

There is a slight curve to the stick forms so I used a lot of pins to keep things in place.

The back shows off the quilted straight lines and mitered corners of the facing (a technique also learned from a Victoria van der Laan class). I attached a hanging sleeve with rod.
