Christmas Stockings
-
A few years ago, I decided to upgrade our family Christmas stockings. I made a few for friends too.
-
I used a free pattern from Suzy Quilts and it was very easy to follow. I used my own patchwork quilt top instead of her stocking pattern. She provided a printable template and I cut mine out of cardboard since I knew I was making several. It was more durable.
-
These stockings are fully lined. I’m getting ready to cut out this lining which is an unexpected lime green.
-
The stockings are cut out and ready for quilting. I pulled a few feet of thread off the spool to make sure it’s a good match.
-
Finished blue stockings. I quilted these, and all of the other stockings, on my domestic machine with a crosshatch pattern.
The large one is 16”L x 11”W. The small one is 11”L x 8”W.

Another green one. The white one was my test pattern.
